Ayanda Thabethe is a South African TV Host, Entrepreneur, Supermodel as well as a brand ambassador for some of the world’s leading brands.
She graduated with a BCOM Communication Management degree from the University of Pretoria (2007) and later an Honours Marketing degree from the University of South Africa (2011). She used her educational accomplishments as a base for a stellar career at some of the world’s leading organisations which include Johnson & Johnson and L’Oreal to name a few before embarking on a career in entertainment.
After successfully hosting the first ever lifestyle magazine show on BET Africa she proceeded to conquer the coveted role of TV host for the longest running South African magazine show, Top Billing. Recognised nationally for her talents, style, radiant confidence and charming personality, she freely moves between her role as a TV host and that of being a Spokeswoman for international brands, L’Oreal Mizani Collection and Ponds while running her Marketing agency Buzzworthy Productions.
She is an astute entrepreneur having run her marketing agency Buzzworthy since 2011. She holds the position of Managing Director and Founder of Buzzworthy Productions which services companies who aim to create “a buzz” for their brands. The agency has a growing blue chip client list and has recently launched the initiative ROUNDA into the South African market which is a Public-Private initiative driven by civil society with the full backing of government aimed at alleviating poverty in South Africa.

2016 was a breakout year for Ayanda Thabethe’s rising star as she became a household name and finally commanded deserved attention.
She was cast as the lead actress on popular South African drama series Rockville Season 4, where she played a versatile and highly talked about character Aaliyah, “A woman with a mission. ” Her performance on the series made Ayanda a social media trend and one of the most spoken about media personalities, with a viewership of well over 400k viewers per episode.
She had previously enjoyed various small roles on South Africa’s small screen. Productions that stand out are: Generations Legacy, playing a character named Gugu, Zion –a movie where she acted as a detective alongside seasoned actress Gail Mabalane and a 5-part drama series called Tooth and Nails where she was cast as a run-down pregnant teenager.
Ayanda is a versatile actress fluent in both Zulu and English, with an unwavering drive and passion for the art of acting.
